Baltimore Country Club is a conservative social Club, steeped in customs and traditions.

All guests are asked to defer to this culture in both behavior and attire when visiting the Five Farms and Roland Park facilities. Prior to coming to our Club, we encourage you to review our policies and traditions, as we want to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us. We look forward to your visit.

  • Definitions
    • Country Club Casual
      Gentlemen: Tucked in collared shirts, slacks, and closed-toe shoes are required.
      (Conservative length shorts are acceptable at Five Farms only.) Jackets and ties are optional.
      Ladies: Dresses, skirts, shorts, or slacks are appropriate and must be a conservative length.
      Tops should be modest and conservative in style and should not expose the midriff.
      Children: Subject to the same dress code as adult members.

      Semi-Formal
      Gentlemen: Jacket and tie required.
      Ladies: Dressier apparel: dresses, skirts, pants, suits, and tops.

      From points South:

      Take I-95 North to I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. Exit at Falls Road - Exit 23B. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.


      From points North:

      Take I-95 South to I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. Exit at Falls Road - Exit 23B. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.


      From downtown Baltimore:

      Take I-83 North. Stay left at I-695 exits and continue toward Falls Road. At third traffic light, turn right onto Seminary Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and turn left onto Mays Chapel Road. Go 1.1 miles. The Five Farms Clubhouse will be on your left.

      From points South:

      Take I-95 North to I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. From I-695, take I-83 South--Exit 23A. Go 3 miles along Southbound I-83 to Exit 10A (Northern Parkway). Turn left at the end of the ramp. At second traffic light, turn right onto Roland Avenue. Proceed .9 mile, then turn Right onto Club Road. The Roland Park Clubhouse is on the left, just after a STOP sign.


      From points North:

      Take I-95 South to I-695 West (Baltimore Beltway) towards Towson. From I-695, take I-83 South - Exit 23A. Go 3 miles along Southbound I-83 to Exit 10A (Northern Parkway). Turn left at the end of the ramp. At second traffic light, turn right onto Roland Avenue. Proceed .9 mile, then turn Right onto Club Road. The Roland Park Clubhouse is on the left, just after a STOP sign.


      From downtown Baltimore:

      Take I-83 North to Exit 9, Eastbound Cold Spring Lane. At the third traffic light, turn left onto Roland Avenue. Go North for .4 mile and make a left onto Club Road. The Roland Park Clubhouse is on the left, just after a STOP sign.

  • Dress Code
    • Baltimore Country Club observes a conservative dress code and the members’ attire at all
      times should be modest and traditional.

      • No denim of any kind or color is allowed on Club premises.
      • Shorts, skirts, and dresses should be an appropriate and conservative length.
      • Clothing that exposes the midriff is unacceptable except at the Pool Complex.
      • Open-toed sandals or shoes for gentlemen are not acceptable in the Clubhouses, Porches, Patios, or Golf areas.
      • Inappropriate tee shirts or numeral jerseys are not permitted.

  • Electronic Device Policy
    • Electronic Device Definition: Any mobile phone, smart phone, smart watch, iPad, Kindle, tablet, laptop, gaming device, and any other portable electronic device.
      Electronic devices are prohibited for all purposes, except for showing or taking photographs, in all buildings, sport facilities and grounds, golf courses, including the Adirondack area, except for the following:

      • Five Farms Card Room – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
      • Golf Course – For practice or playing purposes only
      • Pool Complex Inside the fenced area – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
      • Fitness Centers – No mobile phone/watch voice usage
      • Private rooms being used for a meeting – both campuses
      • Locker Rooms – both campuses
      • Inside personal vehicles – both campuses

      All electronic devices are to be kept out of sight, unless in designated areas.
      For your convenience, courtesy phones are located throughout the Club on both campuses and the Pool Complex.
      A guest in violation of this policy will be asked to comply without delay or leave Club grounds.

  • Venues
    • Golf

      Gentlemen: Slacks, conservative length shorts, tucked-in collared shirts, and foul weather suits.
      Ladies: Slacks, golf skirts, conservative length shorts, foul weather suits, sleeved or sleeveless shirts with collars, and jewel neck shirts with sleeves.


      Paddle 

      Athletic attire may be worn in the Paddle areas and on the Card Porch area of the Grille. Paddle players must adhere to the Club’s posted dress code when entering or using the Club’s other facilities.


      Squash

      85% white attire: Some colored trim or logos on all-white attire is acceptable. Non-marking or gum rubber-soled shoes.


      Tennis

      Tennis whites required (must be at least 85% white, some colored trim is acceptable). Collared shirts for gentlemen. Sleeved or sleeveless shirts with collars and jewel neck shirts with sleeves for ladies. White flat-soled tennis shoes are required.
      Tennis Facility: Acceptable clothing at the tennis facility includes tennis whites. Pool attire is acceptable, including flip flops, but a shirt or cover up must be worn. Fitness attire, shorts, shirt, workout clothing, and athletic shoes are acceptable.
